New stuff

It's been a while since the last post but we've been waiting for inspections before moving forward. We received the HVAC inspection yesterday and the framing inspection should occur tomorrow. Once it passes framing they'll move forward with insulation and also start drywall.

Here is a big change to the bathroom window, which is no longer an operable window but is in the process of becoming a glass block design. We tried up, down and sideways to understand how we could have windows there and not stare at our neighbor's master bedroom (directly across from us), or vice versa!! In the end we realized 1. the windows dominated the space in the interior and 2. we'd probably never open them. We are really happy with the design that our builders picked out.

Due to the change in the stairs we went with a half-size window. This is what it looks like from what will be the screened in porch.

Taken from the new great room, this picture shows the new entrance (widened from the back door) and pass through (old kitchen window space) from the kitchen to the great room.

This shows where they took the second-floor closet in a bit to make head room for someone walking down the stairs below.

Here's the back of the house.

My neighbor's phlox (mine are not flowering like this for some reason)!!!
